So the performance review is over and, much to my absolute shock, the utter lack of interest in this j-o-b was not a topic of conversation.
However, my boss did say she noticed a “shift” in my attitude - I seem to be more collaborative and willing to work on things. It may sound like an insult but taking the source into account it was actually quite the compliment. The knee slapper of the entire thing is that she followed it up by saying “and I’m not sure what caused it, what the shift was … for all I know, it’s because you’ve given up hope and have no patience left with anything here.”
Like an asshole, I laughed and nodded. And I told her she was right.
